Matthew Arthur is the founding teacher and owner of My Guitar School™. Trained by Robert Oort and also by Ken Burns in the area of classical guitar, Matthew is a specialist in group guitar tuition. He has personally developed all the courses offered by My Guitar School™ and has fully trained all his teachers in his method of group guitar tuition.
Matthew has been teaching for over 20 years. During this time he has taught at a variety of different schools such as St Ignatius College Riverview, St Joseph's College Hunters Hill, Marist Sisters Woolwich, Manly High School and SCECGS Redlands Cremorne. He currently heads the guitar teaching program at Marist College Eastwood, SCECGS Redlands Cremorne and the My Guitar School™ Five Dock studios.

Benn Allen is currently teaching at Clancy College West Hoxton, Good Samaritan Catholic College Hinchinbrook and Marist College Eastwood.
Benn has been playing guitar and performing for the past 17 years and completes over 70 hours stage time in various venues across NSW per year.
Selected as one of the finalists in the 2008 Toyota Star Maker Awards held at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Benn has also been recognised for his vocal, songwriting and performance ability, which plays a vital role in his teaching technique.
Cohen Brown is currently teaching at the My Guitar School™ Five Dock studios.
David Wooltorton is currently teaching at Patrician Brothers Fairfield as well as at the My Guitar School™ Eastwood studios.
David has been playing the guitar for over 10 years and has 5 years teaching experience.
Specialising in Rock, Jazz, Blues and Contemporary guitar, David has completed a Bachelor of Music at the Wesley Institute and will soon be completing his Masters Degree, majoring in Guitar.
David's influences include Steve Lukather, Eddie van Halen, Steve Vai, Greg Howe & Lee Ritenour just to name a few.
Jane Williams is currently working as a casual teacher with My Guitar School™.
Jane has been playing guitar for over 20 years in many different bands, playing many different styles ranging from avant garde, rock, reggae and post punk.
Jane currently performs in an originals / cover band called "The Juliets" and is currently the Choir Teacher at Our Lady of the Rosary School Waitara.
John Graham is currently teaching at Marist College Eastwood, as well as at the My Guitar School™ Five Dock and Eastwood studios.
John has been playing guitar for the past 10 years and has been teaching with My Guitar School™ for the past 4 years.
Specialising in Jazz, Lead Rock Guitar, Contemporary Guitar and Guitar Theory, John has previously completed a Bachelor of Arts (Music) at Sydney University. Fully trained by My Guitar School™, John also studies with leading jazz guitarist Steve Brien at the NSW Conservatorium of Music.
John also performs regularly in the band "Made in Japan" who have recently launched their debut EP.
John-Mikael Hellqvist is currently teaching at Patrician Brothers Fairfield as well as at the My Guitar School™ Five Dock and Eastwood studios.
John-Mikael has been playing guitar for over 8 years and recently completed his Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Performance -Guitar) with Honours from the Australian Institute of Music.
John-Mikael has been performing with various original rock and cover bands for almost 5 years and is an avid composer of original music.
His playing styles cover the areas of rock and pop, funk, blues and jazz.
Sam Sheumack is currently teaching at the My Guitar School™ Five Dock studios.
Sam has been playing guitar for over 10 years and is an aspiring performer, studio musician and teacher.
With 8 years live playing experience under his belt, Sam is studying a Bachelor of Music Performnce (classical guitar) and Composition at UNSW. He is also currentlt receiving tuition from Phillip Houghton (classical guitar), Guy Strazzulo (jazz guitar) and John Peterson (composition).
Sam currently performs around Sydney with Mechanical Black (progressive metal), Kade Mc and The Mixed Bag (hip hop) and Acoustica Duo (classical guitar and flute duo).
Stephanie De Francesco is currently teaching at the My Guitar School™ Five Dock studios.
Susie Hurley is currently teaching at the My Guitar School™ Five Dock studios.
Toby Carroll is currently teaching at the My Guitar School™ Five Dock and Eastwood studios.
Toby is a versatile musician who has been playing guitar for over 6 years and teaching for over 4 years. He also plays (and teaches) saxaphone and violin outside of My Guitar School™.
He was awarded an Associate Diploma in Music from the Australian Examination Board and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Music from the Australian Institue of Music.
Specialising in music theory and accoustic guitar, Toby is passionate about teaching and believes that learning is best achieved in a fun and enjoyable environment with a focus on practice and technique.
Toby also performs with various bands throughout Sydney on a regular basis.
Tom Davis is currently a casual teacher with My Guitar School™.
Fully trained by Matthew Arthur, Tom has been playing guitar for the past 9 years and has been a teacher with My Guitar School™ for the past 3 years.
Tom specialises in teaching a wide variety of musical genres from blues to metal, accoustic folk to electric lead. He also plays along side John Graham as part of the band "Made in Japan".
