Suitable for children, teens and adults our guitar lessons are designed to allow students to learn within a group at an easy and fun pace.
They are created so that most beginner students can be playing within 10 weeks.
The music content is fun and constructive so students can feel they are learning to play more than just chords and nursery srhymes!
Following is an overview of Course 1:
All
open chords (students will be able to perform some easy rhythmic songs
from one of their favourite CD’s once these chords are learnt)
4 Blues Riffs (Introduction to improvisation)
2 Technical studies (These are designed to help the student with fingerpicking)
1 group piece (A fun piece with 2 guitar parts to introduce students to ensemble playing)
There are 2 introductory courses. These are followed by content in the following areas:
Fingerpicking
Improvisation
Ensemble performing
Solo performing
Chord and rhythm playing
The content of all courses covers a broad range of guitar styles including Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Classical.
We also offer private tuition for HSC students and have a proven success rate of achieving Band 5 and 6 results.
We have also recently joined forces with the Registry of Guitar Tutors and the London College of Music (one of the world's most respected music examination boards) to offer exams in Contemporary Electric and Accoustic Guitar from Preliminary Grade through to Grade 8 (one of the first guitar schools in Australia to offer this system).
